Welcome back, Dr. Stauffer!

The CS Department welcomes back Dr. Lynn Stauffer, Professor of Computer Science. Most recently, Dr. Stauffer served as Dean of the School of Science and Technology, a position she held from 2010 to 2020.

Sonoma Mountain Connection award expands to support early career CS major

The SSU Sonoma Mountain Connection (SMC) project, as part of a larger proposal to the Koret Foundation, has been awarded $1 million over 4 years.

CS Department welcomes new faculty!

The Computer Science department is proud to welcome two new faculty members to SSU: Dr. Nina Marhamati and Dr. Sabidur Rahman. During Fall 2020, Dr. Marhamati is teaching CS 351 (Computer Architecture) and Dr. Rahman is teaching CS 370 (Software Design and Development).

SSU students showcase their final projects for Intro to Game Programming (CS 330)

As part of the final project for CS 330 in Spring 2019, students had to build a complete game. The primary learning objectives of this project were two-fold: first, they were expected to apply and expand their knowledge of gameplay programming in Unreal 4.

The annual SSU Science Symposium went virtual in 2020. Computer Science faculty and students presented research posters, showcasing the research work they undertook (largely remotely) during the Fall and Spring.
